Who We Are

Laura and Jana both completed their Post Graduate Diploma in the Practice of Psychology (Applied Behaviour Analysis) at the University of Waikato.  They became registered Psychologists with the New Zealand Psychologists Board in 2010.

Both went on to work within organisations supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities of all ages. Within these organisations they diagnosed intellectual disabilities and provided behaviour support to the families, carers or support staff.

Laura then took on a role at the Ministry of Education as a Psychologist in the Severe Behaviour Service.

Jana moved to Sydney where she took on the role of Program Supervisor at an Early Intervention Centre for children with Autism. Jana then joined Laura at the Ministry of Education.

Laura and Jana have been working in private practice since early 2017. Both have a keen interest in diagnosing intellectual disability and ASD, and working with individuals presenting with challenging behaviours in a range of environments, specialising in children and their families.  Their knowledge and experience allows them to be able to work alongside families and caregivers to empower positive change. Jana and Laura are both parents of young children which gives them an understanding of the challenges that come with this.
